Breuil-Cervinia to open Italian slopes with €42 day passes on 7 November

Breuil-Cervinia is preparing to open its first ski slopes on the Italian side of the mountain on Saturday 7 November 2026, with a one-day Italian-area ski pass priced at €42. The resort operator, Cervino Ski Paradise, says the Plan Maison and Fornet chairlifts are due to operate alongside pistes 6.0 and 6.00. A two-day Italian-area ski pass will cost €80.50.

The announcement gives early-season visitors a specific date, a published price and a limited list of runs on which to base their plans. It does not mean that the whole Breuil-Cervinia ski area, or the wider network extending towards Valtournenche and Zermatt, will be available from that day.

Which lifts and slopes are due to open?

The operator has identified two chairlifts, Plan Maison and Fornet, and two pistes, numbered 6.0 and 6.00, for the 7 November opening. These are the confirmed elements of the initial Italian-side offer. Skiers should not assume that other chairlifts, valley runs or links between ski areas are included merely because the broader winter season is under way.

For anyone arranging a short break, that distinction matters more than the resort’s full piste map. A limited opening can provide an opportunity to get back on skis, but it offers fewer choices if a particular run is unsuitable, crowded or unavailable. Families and mixed-ability groups should check the latest piste information before deciding whether the terrain meets everyone’s needs.

The published opening is a plan rather than a guarantee that every lift and piste will operate throughout the day. Conditions in a high-altitude ski area can affect operations, so it is worth checking the official lift and slope status shortly before leaving and again on the morning of the visit.

What do the €42 and €80.50 ski passes cover?

Cervino Ski Paradise has advertised an Italian-area ski pass at €42 for one day and €80.50 for two days in connection with the initial opening. The prices are denominated in euros. The two-day option costs €3.50 less than buying two €42 one-day passes separately, provided the published offers apply to the days being compared.

The important qualification is the area covered. These are described by the operator as Italian passes, not international tickets for the wider ski domain shared with Switzerland. Visitors planning to ski towards Zermatt should not interpret the €42 figure as the price of access to the cross-border network.

The announcement does not set out every ticket condition, age category or purchase requirement. Before paying, check the available ticket types and validity conditions through the official Cervino Ski Paradise website. In particular, confirm that the product being offered corresponds to the part of the mountain expected to be open on your chosen date.

For a two-day stay, the advertised price may make budgeting straightforward, but terrain availability is just as important as ticket cost. An extra day does not automatically mean that additional pistes will have opened. Travellers should weigh the value of another day on a small selection of runs against their preferred variety of skiing.

How does 7 November fit into the 2026/27 season?

The resort lists Breuil-Cervinia’s winter season as running from 24 October 2026 to 2 May 2027. That seasonal timetable is separate from the announcement about the first Italian-side pistes on 7 November. An advertised season start should therefore not be read as confirmation that normal winter access is already available across the mountain.

Other destinations within Cervino Ski Paradise have later scheduled starts. The operator lists Valtournenche from 28 November 2026 to 25 April 2027. For Chamois and Torgnon, the published programme begins with selected dates on 28–29 November, 5–8 December and 12–13 December, followed by a longer period from 19 December 2026 to 29 March 2027.

These dates help put the November announcement in context. A visitor booking for the opening weekend should plan around the named lifts and pistes at Breuil-Cervinia, rather than expect the choice available later in winter. The wider schedule remains useful for deciding whether to travel immediately or postpone a longer holiday until more areas are scheduled to operate.

Planning the journey and checking conditions

Breuil-Cervinia is in Italy’s Aosta Valley. Drivers travelling via the A5 motorway can leave at Châtillon/Saint-Vincent and continue towards the resort on the regional road. The operator gives the onward distance as 28 km. For rail travellers, Châtillon/Saint-Vincent is the nearest station, with bus connections towards Breuil-Cervinia.

Travel arrangements deserve particular attention for a short early-season visit. Check the transport timetable as well as the lift information, and avoid building an itinerary around an assumed full day of skiing without first confirming the opening status. Anyone staying outside the resort should also allow for the possibility that the available pistes change before departure.

The resort publishes operational information, lift timetables and its current slope overview online. These updates are more relevant to the skiing possible on a particular morning than the season’s headline opening and closing dates. The stated price and planned lifts were checked against the operator’s information on 5 November 2026.

What this means for your trip

If you are considering Breuil-Cervinia for 7 November, budget €42 for an advertised one-day Italian-area ski pass or €80.50 for two days, and expect a restricted opening centred on the Plan Maison and Fornet chairlifts and pistes 6.0 and 6.00. Do not assume a full Italian or cross-border ski network is open. Check the official lift status, ticket conditions and local travel arrangements before committing to the journey; for a holiday built around a wide selection of runs, the later published opening dates elsewhere in Cervino Ski Paradise may be more relevant.
